Rondo, Andalucía, España
Ronda has been inhabited since Neolithic times but was first developed as a town called Arunda by the Celts in 650 BCE. The town would later be developed by the Phoenicians and then developed as a fortified town by the Romans under Scipio Africanus during the 2nd Punic Wars. The Visigoths sacked the town and took it over for themselves and it became the Visigoth capital for a while. In 713 CE Rondo fell to the Berbers and eventually under full Moorish control. It was an important city in the Ancient Muslim world. It fell to the Christians in 1485. The town is renowned for its Bull Ring and the horse/bull training centers around the countryside.
