Explorations
Córdoba, Andalucía, España
Córdoba is a beautiful, ancient city on the Guadalguivir River. The region has been populated since the Proto Iberians. Human presence in the area dates back 48,000 years to the Neanderthal. The site of the mosque and cathedral is also the ground where a Visigoth Church once stood. It is also where a scared well from the Proto-Iberians was once located. Córdoba was once the seat of all great learning in Europe with the most well respected university. Muslims, Jews and Christians all called Córdoba home. The layers of culture, language and religion make the city vibrant and makes you think about what the rest of Europe was like when Códoba was at its peak.
